Upper Limb Exo-suit for Motion Amplification & Medical Rehabilitation
The objective of this project is to create an electromechanical system that augments upper limb mobility, with dual purposes of aiding industrial applications and serving as a tool for medical rehabilitation.
Design and Developemnt of Upper Limb Exo-suit
This was my final-year project, a collaborative effort with a teammate, involved creating a modular 3D-printed device utilizing EMG sensors to detect muscle activity through conductive pads on the skin. These sensors read electrical impulses generated by muscle contractions, allowing us to capture and filter the data for electromechanical actuation.
To ensure ease of replication, we fabricated the entire device from modular 3D-printed parts. Velcro straps on the upper arm and forearm made it easy for anyone to wear. The non-invasive nature of EMG sensors, placed on the skin, allowed us to acquire electro-muscular data, filter it, and use it to drive the electromechanical actuation of the device.Fabricated Upper Limb Exo-suit
